Round
4 of the 2009 Le Mans Series took the teams
to the Nürburgring in Germany; one of
the most famous tracks in the world. The Nürburgring
1000 Kilometres was staged on the Grand Prix
circuit, although many visitors took time
out to visit the adjacent Nordschleife. Hopes
that they might experience the new ring°racer
rollercoaster ride - the world's fastest -
were dashed when the ride failed to gain the
necessary certification in time for the weekend.
