The
final round of the 2010 Le Mans Series
and it all goes down to the wire. With
titles to be decided for teams and drivers
throughout the field, it should be a tense
occasion. RML's Mike Newton and Thomas
Erdos head the LMP2 drivers' table with
a thirteen point lead over Strakka Racing's
trio of Danny Watts, Nick Leventis and
Jonny Kane. The team title is also up for
grabs, so everything to play for. Perhaps
news that RML's third driver, Ben Collins,
is actually The Stig from BBC's Top Gear
programme will give the #25 Lola HPD an
edge? Some say he can drive any track blindfold
whilst drinking a milkshake through a straw,
and with the Silverstone circuit having
undergone major changes since September
last year, including a new and longer layout,
his boundless talents may prove vital.
