2009
Le Mans Series ~ Round 1
The
opening round of the 2009 Le Mans Series was
scheduled for the first weekend of April,
and took place on the impressive Grand Prix
Circuit de Catalunya just a few kilometres
outside the city of Barcelona in eastern Spain.
A year previously Mike and Tommy had arrived
in Spain as reigning LMP2 champions, but had
to settle for fourth place.In 2009 they came
with an all-new package, in the form of the
Mazda-powered Lola Coupé, but a few
technical issues in testing at Paul Ricard
suggested it might not be a straightforward
